These Shocking Photos From Recent Home Inspections Around the Long Island Area Should Concern You…

Your house is a BIG investment, and you don’t want to be surprised by BIG expenses after moving in. I often encounter some pretty amazing stuff during routine home inspections I conduct in and around the Long Island area. An experienced home inspector could prevent you from paying out thousands in repairs; but ONLY if you know about these problems BEFORE you buy the house. It’s IMPORTANT you get this done prior to buying…

In the photographs below, you’ll see how we uncovered potential ‘nightmare’ problems that could have put our clients in the ‘poor house’

Wouldn’t you want to know if the property you’re about to buy had a fire in the attic? Maybe the electrical panel or circuit breakers are all on a recall list… Perhaps the roof is in need of repair or replacement, potentially a $20,000.00 job by itself…

As a licensed NY home inspector, it’s my job to provide you with an thorough home inspection and provide you with a detailed report outlining problems I uncover… You can then take this report back and negotiate with the home owner on how these problems will be fixed…

It’s better for them to either reduce the price of the property down — or make the repairs themselves. You don’t have to come out of pocket and pay for this stuff if you know about it beforehand.

We are not a remodeling, remediation or treatment company. We have no vested interest in finding problems that would require expensive repair or treatment. We perform professional, industry standard home inspections. We don’t want you buying bad properties without knowing all the facts.

Advice About Choosing a Long Island Home Inspection Company

Reviewing another home inspector’s report will actually give you a general idea as to how thorough that inspector will be when inspecting the property you’re considering buying. Before settling on an inspector, make sure to request a copy of their report. If they refuse to give you a copy, immediately choose someone else.

A few things to look out for in the Home Inspection report

  • make sure the inspection report is easy to read and understand
  • ensure the report includes photographs, along with a description of the items in need of repair
  • beware of inspectors who offer to fix repairs (a BIG conflict of interest)

“I have nicknamed them “The House Whisperer’s” and have recommended them to anyone and everyone!”

NY Inspect was a joy to work with. As a first time homebuyer, I was very unsure as to what took place in a home inspection. We had played phone tag and I had called on him several times but, every time I called, NY Inspect was always cordial and available if I needed them. The inspector made sure to explain everything to me! He even explained the tools he was going to use and how they worked. He was knowledgeable, informative and downright a pleasure to be around. The report was very informative and thorough. I have nicknamed them “The House Whisperer’s” and have recommended them to anyone and everyone!

“NY Inspect is truly a professional [home inspection] company!”

I have been involved in the house buying process twice. The first time, I was pleasantly surprised by NY Inspects approach, since I didn’t know what to expect. The second time, I sought NY Inspect out, knowing that I felt comfortable with his approach, and trusted their expertise. Walking through the home inspection with them left me feeling assured that someone in the house buying process truly had my best interest at heart and the report onsite was truly amazing! They took the time to explain all of their findings in detail, and was sure to expose any potential long term problems.NY Inspect is truly a professional company!

“We were able to shave an additional $5000.00 off the purchase price following receipt of your home inspection report!”

My name is Avi R and I am an attorney. I don’t know if you recall but we last met back in April during the inspection of xxxx New York Avenue, my clients Jeffrey and Rachel S were the purchasers. Just as an aside, we were able to shave an additional $5,000 off the purchase price following receipt of your home inspection report and the deal closed last week.

But this is not why I am writing you. I am close to landing my own home in the Flatbush area (actually not too far from the above-referenced property) and I wanted to check on your availability this week. I don’t have a date yet that’s best for the seller but I wanted to check with you first since it’s one of those “sooner the better” situations.

Thank you in advance. I look forward to hearing from you.

“In our many real estate dealings we have never dealt with a better or more professional inspector”

We were very pleased with the entire inspection process. You were prompt and extremely thorough and found many problems that we would have missed. We would never purchase a property (even a new property) without the assistance of an inspector, and in our many real estate dealings we have never dealt with a better or more professional inspector.
